Camp Contribution 2019

It’s the last week of Camp Contribution and we can’t believe how fast the summer is flying by!

This summer we are happy to be in six locations with 370 Kids: Regent Park, Scarborough, Markham East, Markham West, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan.

During session one and two, many camp locations dedicated their Day of Action to helping the environment. Over 10 bags of garbage were collected! We even had other camp programs come by to learn about the environment, endangered species, and how to recycle properly.

Many of the Kids put on lemonade stands – some were in support of different causes and some were to brighten people’s day, “just because”.  Blankets were collected for animal shelters and non-perishable food items were collected for homeless shelters.

This summer we had the pleasure of hosting wonderful volunteers and representatives from TD, American Express, RBC, Qualcomm, and Kraft Berger LLP. A huge thank you to all of our corporate partners for being involved!

Along with all of the Day of Action activities, we have been having fun with DIY waterparks, minute-to-win-it games, a murder mystery game of Clue, and playing grounders in the park!

Last week was extra special because a group of campers and staff watched the Toronto Blue Jays play against the New York Yankees from the Jays Care Community Clubhouse – we cheered, ate hot dogs, and made an appearance on the JumboTron! We are so grateful to David “Blue” Bluestein and the Cooper family for making the evening possible.
